TANKARD

For all your extra thirsty needs I make variety of large tankard shapes that hold from 20 - 24 fl.oz. I pull handles that are large enough for most folks to fit three or four fingers inside, with their thumb resting on top. It is very important to me that the handles appear to flow from the pot rather than be merely stuck on the side. It is a painstaking process that often requires more time to accomplish than it does to make the tankard body itself. But the aesthetic is worth the extra time and detail. The groove that runs down the center of the handle is made by my thumb when pulling out the handle. Folks often say they appreciate that through that handle resting place for their thumb they can feel the hand of the artist maker while using the mug. These tankards are great for either hot or cold beverages.
