LARGE COVERED JAR*
I make a variety of large jar shapes that can sit in a special place in your home as a decorative work of art, or if desired, they can fill a multitude of functional storage purposes too.
Over the years numerous patrons have purchased jars in this size range to use as a burial urn for the cremains of a loved one. I have always felt honored to have an artwork of mine used in such a personal and important way.
Thank you for considering a purchase of Mark Slick Pottery!
*What you see is what you get. Look thoroughly, photographs are of the actual piece that you will receive in your order.
*Large brown organic eggshell shown as a size reference.
D = DIAMETER widest outside pot measurement.
W = WIDTH includes pot body, handles and spout.
H = HEIGHT includes lids and handles.
C = CAPACITY volume in fluid ounces.
*APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS in inches and fluid ounces.
6.0 D - 6.0 W - 12.75 H - 96 oz C
I work with a variety of glazes, several stoneware clays and a porcelain clay body as well. All my pottery has been fired to a cone 6 stoneware temperature of about 2232 degrees Fahrenheit. Every piece of pottery I create is 100% food safe and perfectly fine to use in ovens, microwaves and dishwashers, but please ‘DO NOT’ place directly onto stove top burners. See further instructions listed in the category CARE.
